  5. That was awesome chickory, such a beautiful valentine to your home, your touchstone in the winter.
What a great place for Trout to play, all of that snow and she sure loves trying to climb the trees.
I think it is amazing that the pines retain their leaves,I guess it's their needle like structure, the oils or maybe thay have anti-freeze, anyway they all look so beautiful covererd with snow to me, one who comes from a place which never snows.
You have a beautiful family of hens, they all look very pretty and happy, I love the colours of their feathers. xoxo ♡

  7. Beautiful music to a beautiful day. And I'm so gloud Trout was able to get the snow off those branches. That had me worried there for a bit, but she took good care of that situation.

  8. That's not really snow - it only looks like about 3". Bwhahaha
I wonder if you made the chickens lay on their backs, would they make little cupids in the "snow". I wonder...

  9. I couldn't see last night, happy to see it now. It would be cool to take the same shots in Spring, etc. and put together a "Four Seasons" video of Chickory. The snow (and that's snow to me) is beautiful. I love Trout grabbing a big mouthful of it and seeing the chickens against the stark white is really cool. Pretty music too.

  11. dianne: thank you. im sure these hens are getting old. when Koby starts coming up here i can film her for a change. im very worried i am going to be stuck here because of the snow and miss my wedding anniversary tomorrow. gah! thank you dianne, i have something special planned for you next week. to go with your forest poem

/t: indeed it is! what in the world would i film with out these hens? they are so dear i cant stop it. i have all this chicks eating spagetti footage...oh never mind:-)/ have a great VD 't!

pam: funny the things dogs find to do for entertainment. she loved showering herself in cool snow. now she is curled up before the heater.

buzzkill: LOL! what a great idea. i enjoy their little footprints in the snow...i saw the big barred rocks and thought..that the hell? a crow? then i realized. hey 3" is enough to have me stuck

boxer: we need to do a movie at the summit. i need some help with how to edit individual frames in a film. for instance, replacing the MGM roaring lion with trout. the four season chicks! i love it.

yoborobo: you got that right. even ratty junkyards look pretty today. it is such a fluffy sparkly white snow...just beautiful.

  16. Cheeeeee-cons in the snow! So precious. It's awfully difficult to curse the snow when it truly is so beautiful and dogs love it so.

    Did you make it home?

  17. We get lots of snow around here but I never get tried of watching it. Watching Trout, the snow shaker, was especially good.

    aunty belle: yes.

troll: me too. it was funny the ways she would get snow to fall on her. she knocked every low branch she could find free of snow.

puerileuwaite; naw; mine are into snowboards

la diva: grrherhahahaha chicken butts. next: pork bellies.

moi: i dont curse the snow. i love it because it is a holiday of sorts. this one was powdery and brilliant. clean and quiet. love it.

  27. It was a pleasure to watch it again sweet chickory, it is lovely to watch Trout running around in the snow. The hens are such gentle creatures as they scratch in the snow for treats and sing their little songs, all beautiful with that lovely music that is so reminiscent of the peace of your home in the forest.

    xoxoxo ♡

  28. Ah Trouty, I love seeing a dog live a life so full of joy. She must have a great owner.
Chicken Butts. It was like they all decided to moon us with their feathery little asses. I have never known such pasta whores. Fabio would be their hero.
    Thanks for the fun stuff.
