I think this painting is beautiful too...I love how gently she is cradling the chicken in her arms and the glimpse of breast signifies a maternal feeling...
I am sure you are the painter and Mother protector of all birds, dogs and nature. ♡ xo
She's beautiful~ and your post below made me laugh out loud over making V tell you how beautiful the sweet potatoes were! :) I am sure they were stunning, each and every one of them! I owe you a note...but I'm between a rock and hard place right now. Mom's kidney #'s dropped and we have an appt late this week for that. DaPixie and her brother start school tomorrow and there's a carpool problem...and then there's the big "20" yr anniversary on Sep 10th. I'm just flat out swamped until October friend- and I am so sorry. I really wanted to come for a visit, but I just can't swing it now. Hugs and love- and I will be in touch. I'm good- just juggling stuff :)
However I cannot as I am currently boycotting all American produce as a response to the failure of the American people to protect Michael Jackson from his doctor.
Sorry, maybe back after the boycott is over, and if still for sale will be interested.
thanks to all! she reminds me a bit of the replicant in "blade runner". good call, troll - thats a spanish breed of chicken. to walking man: yes hens have combs but they are smaller. welcome publius and ardlair - i hardly recognize you ;-)
Sorry this commnet is way off the subject here, I was reading that you applied for a teaching position but missed out, thats a shame but there will be other opportunities. I'm pleased you made $80 at the farmers market, there will always be a demand for good organic foods...canteloupes today here were $4.00AU for a half, zucchini have come down this week from $3.50AU a pound and I always buy free range eggs and pay $4.00AU for 1/2 a dozen...so sweetie I hope your farming and painting will hold you over if things are really hard financially. xo ♡
you know your male readers always appreciate them. :-)
ReplyDeleteand I the chickens.
I love your nekkid woman with her chicks. The colors in this are really cool - that green is great against her pink skin. Lovely lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteA chick wif' chicks--what's not to like??
ReplyDeletedressed in chickens! well almost ..

Not just the male readers!!!

Wow, friend. You are just amazing in your work and in your life.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and earthly. You got it goin on, grrrrrl
ReplyDeleteI see a naked woman cradling and surrounded by a bunch of roosters. Man that is a lot of "comb" for one woman...but then she does have long hair.
ReplyDeleteSorry just couldn't help myself...I swear I have been in Detroit too long. Or not long enough. Do hens have combs?
Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI would like to buy this because I am a male.

Well, she's just "naked," not "nekid," so I guess it's still art. :-)
ReplyDeleteDidn't you once say something about there only being room for one cock in the garden? She seems not to have that limitation.
she looks like valejo
ReplyDeletePretty. Looks Portugal Inspired to my eye.
ReplyDeleteGreat palette K9. Black and white on turquoise is really the thing these days. A splash of red too? Even better.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I like the expression on her face. Serene and yet slightly humorous.
