Lisieux has gone on to the great rooster in the sky. while i was in florida seeing my mom V decided to go ahead and put her out of her misery. and i knew that was a possibility -the night before i left i bought a new pen just for her...and put easter in with her so she wouldnt be alone...but she got worse. whatever it was, it wasnt a disease just an injury that somehow infected her systemically.
ReplyDeleteSki i think, was mistakenly put in the bantam bin. he -or she- is 3 times the size of easter and avila -and that name will need to change as avila is looking like a rooster! and sounding like she/he is trying to crow though its more croakey than crow.
i like ski's personality. kind of a doofus. but a pleasant enough fella. avila is a pistol but calm when alone with me and likes to be petted and easter is a goodly bird..curious and alert but not super lovey dovey.

i still have access to chickens. they will be hatched may 18 and the eggs are from a farmer who raises happy chickens .. :)
