Great pix, especially the snail!
I was in the NC mountains today.
it was beautiful...especially the rhododendrons. Lovely images and haiku ;-)
oh, you just got in under the wire, pal. NICELY done. I love the visuals as much as the Haikus.
Are you still Afrika hawt?
least ya has some H2O.
Lovely indeed.
lx: thank you, Cat. How ya been! Its good to see ya!
Fishy: thank you. I live in an amazing ecosystem. our mountains are unique in that the high peaks are not that rocky but have great soil and therefore massive stands of ferns and broadleaf deciduous trees, herbs, and grasses supporting an astonishing array of wildlife. I am truly blessed to know such an ecosystem.
Boxa: man, that is how it is in every aspect: barely skidding in under the wire.
Aunty: well, we had good rain early summer, but now it is getting dry like last year. but this was the best Rhododendron show in years.
The Mrs. has several healthy looking Rhododendron around the house, but they haven't bloomed yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
I really like the snail pic. That is cool to find one that big that doesn't run away before you get it's picture. Bwahahaha
Very pretty rhythm to your haiku. I like saying it aloud. Lovely photos, too, especially the snails. I want to kiss it on its widdle head! (Don't mind me, I'm wire-skidding too much myself these days and am a little giddy from the stress.)
Hope you get more rain. We got our first real thunder boomer yesterday afternoon, right on time . . .
Oddly, our Rhododentrons already bloomed. You'd think given the cold storage we're always in up here in the PNW, that NJ (Hi Buzz) would bloom before us?
I'll try to start doing this again. Hope you are well.
Gorgeous photos of flowers and the beautiful greens of nature's garden, I love rhododendrons.
Like your haiku too dear chickory.
xoxoxo ♡
Love these ... and that snail esp.
That snail pic is amazing! And I don't even particularly like them. :)) I hope you are keeping cool (it's getting to be harder to do, isn't it?). xox
What a beautiful set of photos!
Over the weekend I found some nice Rocky Mountain columbine - you once asked about the flowers. I just posted a photo and was remembering your question, so stopped by to let you know.
And what an amazing ecosystem it is too!
I wonder if snails only move slowly in this dimension. I knew I shouldn't have consumed that mushroom earlier in the post.
