When it Rains, it Pours

an illustration for a fine string instrument company

How is everybody? I am covered over with an oppressive deadline. I had a very good open studio sale, started slow but finished well. I will be back this weekend and looking forward to catching up on all the blogs. Merry, merry!

You really are amazingly talented at painting joy. Congrats on your holiday sale! Enjoy the rain cause you never know when the drought will return.

Hooray for the success of your studio sale! And I adore that illustration. Raccoon made me laugh enough to shake off the blues from all our rain here, and that's sayin' something.

Lovely! After all that vertummult, this came out beautifully. Which just goes to show, if you're going through hell, keep going . . .

Congrats on well-deserved success. I love this illustration. It's my second favorite after the possum weaving thing.

It is not just the theme, it is the execution. Amazing how the deer's hooves are doing what they should on the cellos despite being hooves. Coon looks like it is genuinely working the strings. It takes a real artist to make that happen.

Cool.

thank you everyone. I really appreciate your kind commentary. Now I am illustrating the crow who brings daylight to the Inuit people. Im trying a more spare and folky style with this project.

See you all on your blogs this sunday!!! weeeeeeee I will have free time on that day.

Hello Chickory!
Hope you earned yourself a weekend of freedom. Will we get to see your Inuit art too?

Haiku Monday is being hosted at the Pond this week, come play!

I adore this! Wish I had seen it before ordering Christmas cards recently, I'd have asked if you were selling it on cards! Glad your sale went well and can't wait to see what you are creating next!

Merry X-mas, dawg. Have fun with the deadlines.

Of course, the only time deadlines are fun is when they are dead.
